Our 12-Year Timeline

 

 

 2001 - First year Highschool 

Aldwin: The first time I saw Bey was when she transferred to my school in HS. I told my friends Brian and Jaymar that she's pretty and I believe that she would have alot of boys smitten when she ages 20.

 

 2002 - 2nd year Highschool 

Bey: I was just starting to fit in my new school and gaining friends. I first noticed Aldwin when I saw him sitting next to the door in their classroom near the "jane" as I felt like he was staring at me whenever I pass by. I was pretty curious to know if those instances I caught him were accidental so ended up always checking him out, and yup, HE WAS STARING.

We luckily have a few common friends and he was introduced to me by our good friends Jaymar and Brian. I would say I'm in cloud nine then as I can finally know his name :)

Aldwin: The first time we were introduced was awkward, I wasn't really prepared but I can remember how warm and accommodating Bey was. She lightly pat my shoulder to acknowledge me and I knew that it would be the start of everything.

 

 2003 - 3rd year Highschool 

Aldwin: Bey doesn't really want me to visit her in their house as she's not allowed to have a boyfriend yet. So I have no choice but to court her in school. I also have trainings after school so I really can't send her home. I already lost hope and thought I can never have a chance with her.

Bey: Someone actually told me that he had a girlfriend during the summer. I was hurt but I really can't do anything about it as I'm also scared to commit since I'm not really allowed to. I thought, I'll enjoy the moment. We'll be together if it's meant to be.

Much to my disappointment, aside from the buzz that he's got a girlfriend somewhere, he became close to a really pretty girl. I was heartbroken and I hated him for ignoring me next to a doll. But this made me realize how much I really like him and how sorry I am for not getting a chance to be with him.

 

 2004, January: 3rd year Highschool

Aldwin: I noticed how snobbish she became since I stopped talking to her. For some reason, that got me interested again. I wasn't sure what she knows but I wanted to win her attention back. I started to tease her and it was fun seeing her roll her eyes while smiling. I thought it would be better if we have things this way,no commitment, no pressure and just enjoying the time we spend together as friends.

Bey: I'm not sure exactly what happened. He's suddenly nice to me again which pisses me off. Being with him is like a roller coaster of emotions. In one of our classes about relationships,we were asked to write a letter for anyone that would be delivered to them. Being my emotional self, I wrote him letters and was surprised to know that my letters were actually read in front of his class. It was very humiliating but I think it did the trick.

 

 2004, March 12: Jaye's Rooftop 

Bey: So we were hanging out at a friends house and while everybody was busy we hang alone at the balcony. We were sheepishly staring at the stars when he asked me to be his girlfriend, needless to say, I said yes.

Aldwin: Someone once told me that if you want someone, you don't have to do alot of things fast, just take your time and when the right moment comes, you'll just know. I took her home and introduced her to my family. 

 

 2005: First Year College 

Bey: This was when my mom first knew that I have a boyfriend. She was furious but decided to trust me with my decision. That same day, I asked Aldwin to meet my family and everyone just loved him.

 2006 - 2007:  Love, Love, Love

 

 2008: Long Distance Relationship 

Aldwin decided to have his internship in Baguio. It took a toll in our relationship as I have decided that I can't have LDR and broke up with him but obviously, I changed my mind. We tried to make the relationship work despite not seeing each other everyday anymore, boy, it was difficult.

 

 2009 - 2010:  Aldwin went back home after he lost his job in Baguio and we had time being together again and discovered one thing we love to do together...Traveling.

We bought our first car together...Wacky!

 

 2011  - We were on the rocks! 

He got his job back in Baguio and moved. No relationship is perfect, I guess. As we create our own beautiful fairytale reality, a witch would always get in the way. This major issue made things very difficult as we had to weigh the reality and the past. I am just happy that its' all over now and we have both decided to save the relationship and move on.

 

 2012  - Love is sweeter the second time around. 

As we recover from the drama, we were on twilight again! We hold hands wherever we go and sheepishly look at each other over dinner. He did everything to make it easy for me to move on and forget the things that hurt.

 2013  - THE PROPOSAL 

September 29 - after a fun weekend spent in the beach, he finally decided to pop the question.

On our way back up Baguio from La Union amidst the heavy fog and while driving Toffee, he handed the little blue box to me and asked me to "Marry Him". Not really very romantic but I know he's not really the type, nonetheless, after waiting for 9 1/2 years, he finally asked!

...and I said YES!

 

 2014  - THE BIG DAY: 1.11.14

...and we'll never know what would happen next, but this is definatly gonna be one hell of a joy ride together!
